Just wondering how many people have started out shooting digital and have since started shooting film as well?
I have been using digital for about 3 years and have started playing with film, shooting Velvia and PanF on 35mm

Yes. Started shooting seriously with an Oly 510 about 4 months ago. Got a present of 2 Olympus OM1 (approx 1972) and am have great fun with film photography. Just this week I got a OM to 4/3 adapter and have taken the lens off the OM1 and used on my E-510 - that's fun. What film are you using,I am finding colours slightly washed out looking?

I'm the same, got my first DSLR last year and within a couple of months had bought myself an OM10. Since then I got a second OM body (OM4Ti) and a Contax G2 and bundles of OM lenses.

I also have the OM to 4/3's adaptor and love using the OM lenses on my E-410, have trouble focussing though...

ditto, the small viewfinder is a pain. i've used it a bit with a tamron 350mm mirror, so i don't even have the option of stopping down for greater depth of field.

I use both. Film makes me think. Unfortunatly there is nowhere decent to get it developed and i have 2 rolls waiting on my shelf!

I use Photocare on Abbey Street in Dublin as they do E6(slide) developing and it's 100metres from my office :-)
A few pros I know, use Repro 35 on Merrion Square - http://www.repro35.ie/

    excellent for slide prints

i invested in a nice f90x recently, there is something specil bout developing yourself tho, quite rewarding

i dont think film is that much harder than digital, the light metre basically sorts you exposure wise and if ya been shooting digi for a while you'll know yourself bout shutter speed and focusing

i find film more fun to use than digital. never really got into the development end of things, partly due to lack of facilities.

yeah I shoot in film the odd time its nice to have the option but its kept for a special shot I bring the 2 of them out together and shoot loads with the digital and take occasional shots with the film camera.
It does force you to think alot more about is the camera level? is the distance right? the camera i use does not have auto focus

film cameras are great for gear porn if you are on a budget. my Yashica GSN Electro cost me €55 euro including postage from america last year. I bought some 800 iso film for it last time i was in dublin hoping to take it to a gigs. it takes lovely pictures.

It's hard not to shoot film when I begun my photography visiting this shop on my way to school. Only digital things in this shop are alarm, mobile phone and calculator. I don't have to say that the shopkeeper is realy huge fan of photography and dark rook processing :-)

Here are some pictures taken by local newspaper.

Wow ThOnda - is it still like that even now? Didnt think a shop could survive anywhere just selling non-digital kit.
