I'm heading there tomorrow. Should be fun..
I had a look at a topographic map, and it doesn't look like there should be any significant hills, but the last e-mail from the organizers suggested that there are a few.

    Good luck with it! Enjoy!

    Great race! Very enjoyable.
Organization was very professional. I will definitely do it again next year, if they run it. How did you get on Seres?

Nice to see Pauline Curley participating in a race with such a small field. Good on her. Looking forward to the results being posted.

    hey krusty
ya really enjoyed the race , lovely course , well organised , good turnout and they did well to get pauline curley ,i wasnt that well prepared ,was aiming for 45 min , did it in 43min 37sec per my watch, very happy with this , would love to do it again next year but a bit far for me , we were lucky with the day
how did you get on ?
when do you think the results are up ?

I reckon I crossed the finish line about 37 seconds before ya, in around 43 minutes. Really enjoyed it. My splits for 5k and 10k splits were the same, so I'm happy about that. Paced myself well. Got into a full sprint before the finish line, so had a little left in the tank. It's a handy last race before Fitzwilliam Square on the 27th.

I reckon we'll be waiting a few days for the results..

All good. Last long run today (16 miles). Setting off in the next hour to replicate the race day start time. The Donadea was great for a last minute confidence boost. I haven't done Dublin before. I did Longford marathon 7 weeks ago (which was my first), so really looking forward to the Dublin experience.

For Donadea, I was tempted to register as Team Boards AC (see the marathon forum), but it looks like we were the only ones who participated in that 10k race.

    So what's your next race?

you must have recovered quite quickly to do 16mi today ,my body is aching , still quite unfit , sure i will be talking to ya in marathon/triathlon forum , here or maybe at a future boards AC meet :D

Ya can't be unfit if you're running 10k in 43:37!! I'm dead chuffed with my time. The only other 10k I know of is the Aware 10k on the 6th December in Phoenix Park. Link here.

There's the Gerry Farnan 5 Mile cross country this Sunday in Phoenix Park. Might be a bit soon for you though!
    More information here.

Seres, I was looking for a January event and found the following

    http://www.runireland.com/events/west-ireland-fun-run

I am not sure if I will do it and I know nothing about the race but it could be worth trying to get more information on it so we all have somethign to work towards for January.

Congrats to both yourself and Krusty on your times. You times are where I want to get to in the next 3 months but its going to be a long winter of training to achieve it.

I will be doing the aware 10k for definite.

have been reading you logs and your training seem to be going well , i think also the aware 10K run is just a nice lenght of time away for you to make good progress in training , i think if you keep up the good work you will be pleasantly surprised , will be keeping an eye on your log to make sure your not slacking :)
thanks for the link , it might be just what i need to keep motivated on holidays over xmas ( always a dangerous period )
