Good titles for PS3

Apart from LBP, what exclusive titles are coming for the PS3. I'm thinking of picking one up soon. Did I hear hard rain was exclusive, anything else?

Resistence 2, Killzone 2, yup Hard Rain is exclusive, M.A.G, Infamous, and expect at least one more exclusive to be announced at the Tokyo Games Show this week. There's a couple of others I'm forgetting I'm sure.

It's worth getting for LBP alone, I'm just completely gob-smacked by it.

What difference does it make if a game is exclusive or not? So what if people with an XBOX can play the same games.

Motorstorm Pacific Rift, Afrika, Flower, Valkyria Chronicles, White Knight Story, Gran Turismo 5, God of War 3, SOCOM Confrontation...

Hopefully all of these will be out in the next few months...

3rd party exclusives are gone this generation on both consoles unless paid for in full by Sony or MS. The reason being the cost of developing such games is very high and best ROI is to release it on as many consoles as possible.

Valkyria Chronicles is my must buy this Christmas. Demo is up on PSN as well for anybody interested.

I don't know if you fully got the point that the other poster was making. Whether a game is exclusive or not shouldn't make an difference. You buy a game because it's good.
If a game was coming out on the PS3 and it was marketed as being an exclusive but then suddenly close to launch it was announced it would be on other platforms too, would that bother you? It shouldn't and that's the point the other poster was making.

Thanks for the replies.

The reason I wanted to know about exclusive titles was that I've got a PC and 360(should have said).

If there were enough "must have" titles only for the PS3 it could tip me towards buying this xmas. I agree though, if I didn't own any system exclusivity shouldn't mean diddly squat.

Heavy Rain, M.A.G and LBP all sound interesting. Though I'm not sure if LBP will be a huge novelty and not much after that.

The community building around the game is already incredible and it's not even out yet. The levels being released are getting more impressive with each passing day and most people who've spent a fair amount of time with the beta (myself included) are absolutely taken by it.

Other exclusives this year will be Resistance 2, Motorstorm 2, Valkyria Chronicles (this one is very interesting) and of course don't forget that recently we've had the likes of Wipeout HD and MGS4, and you can probably pick up excellent titles like Uncharted, Folklore and Ratchet & Clank from bargain bins now.

I know what Mossy was saying- it isn't relevant to the OPs question. He's looking for reasons to buy a PS3, ie good exclusives.

I can't wait for LBP. As for Heavy Rain, I agree. It looks amazing. But the plot of the game is very vague at this point, so it's hard to know if it's worth buying. For me, graphics should always be secondary to gameplay.

Gran Turismo 5 should be out next year, all going well.

Isn't heavy rain something like bioshock ? ,the role unfolds differently depending on your actions.
