    hi all,

i am about to accept a job abroad and i need my education docs to be verified for my visa. i have sent a copy to my uni to get stamped and this has to be further verified by a solicitor. how much could i expect to pay for this? is there much of a difference in fees between solicitors?

I imagine most solicitors wouldn't bother charging you. Considering the fee for swearing a statutory declaration is a tenner, that's about the most you would pay to get something certified.

fee likely to be nominal - however if the solicitor's certificate has to state (s)he knows you then you need either to go to someone that knows you, or b e identified or introduced by someone known to that office.

Most solicitors will not take a chance by certifying something they or their staff do not personally know.
