The image size is approximately 9" wide and 6" tall. The maximal resolution is 300dpi.

So if I have an image that's 3880pixels by 2608pixels, how do I resize to this dpi and how do I know what the inches are, or what do I have to do pls? Also is the format tiff or jpeg? 16bit or 8bit?

    I'm a n00b... I don't even have a printer! :o

    Thanks in advance! :pac:

I think that's just the size of the image on the page..
In which case you won't need to do anything i think!

I'll try to get the information from the book designer in the afternoon. Sorry for delay.

In order to have your image fit in the book, it needs to be 1.5 times as long as it is high.
So if your image was 2000 pixels high, it should be 3000 pixels long.

So 4/3's users have to crop, or can the page design accommodate the difference?

The best solution is to download the Blurb software and try your photos.
The 'window-size' that is being used is 8.8in * 6.3in, hense a factor of 1.3968.
Use this number (multiply or divide) to get either width or height (depending on whch one you want to keep).

So, if you want width of 3000pixels then height will be 2147pixels (3000/1.3968).

PS> Correct me if I'm wrong in those calculations, pls.
So 4/3's users have to crop, or can the page design accommodate the difference?
....just a little, there's a button in Blurb that 'fits' the photo into the frame, but a little of it will then be cut out.
