Ipod classic question (battery related)

    Just got a 120gb classic & im all about saving battery life. Iv the brightness turned down, the back light set to 2 seconds but theres one thing that im wondering, is there anyway to turn the clock display off when your playing music?

    Im talking about the display that has no backlight,just the time, the battery status & the lock symbol. Im sure that uses up battery, i just dont know if i can turn it off.

    An unlit LCD uses almost no power. Think of a digital watch, they go for years on a tiny-capacity battery.
