I was reading on a poker site recently a back and forth argument between two people over which of them was the better player.

A few people began commenting on how the argument should be settled, suggesting best of 3 HU, a couple of s&g's or a round of cash games and the most profitable player wins yada-yada-yada.............

The argument went nowhere but it got me thinking as to how you would determine whether one player is better than another(assuming both players play at similar levels and have equal BR)

Is it possible to decide which player is better?

Thats a statement and a half.

Its true though...tournie players are the nuts. Look at the likes of Hellmuth, TonyG, Mattusow etc Flair + Loveable antics = success

Look at cash game players like Phil Gordon, Guy Liabrete, Vicki Coren etc...= they so poor
