Hi everyone, I'm just letting all ye good folk know I run an Aikido Club in Midleton, Co Cork, which has been on the go now for two years. If anyone is interested in coming along to watch, or even take part in a class or two, just let me know.

    hi Kieran
I use to attend a few sessions of the Shotokan club in Midleton run by Sensei Sargent. This was about 30 years ago and they had a good standard. I remember them looking perplexed at my Wado Ryu katas!
    Good training to you.

Hi I have the Aikido club going since Oct 2006 and we have had to move dojo's three times. Its hard enough to get a place to train in Midleton, but not impossible. Do you have tatami's cos thats always an obstacle I feel when approaching people......

Give me a ring on my work mobile 085 800 9639 to chat about it

Theres a few Gyms in midelton ,that might be of interest as well. I use to rent a place in the Blitz gym , but its gone now. Might be worth a drive down to check the place out if Kieran above, hasnt all ready helped you out.
You could get a nice space for cheap rent now I'd say.

    Hi Corkjudo,

I know that there are a number of light commercial units to rent in Midleton if that's any help. Maybe a number of different martial arts disciplines could rent and establish one unit as a "martial arts centre" and share costs instead of trying to rent space from a gym?

    Just a thought.
