3pay upgrades, no discounts?

I just got a text that I am eligible for a 3pay upgrade. However, the "upgrade" is a phone to a non-discounted price, and then 90 euro free call credit on top of that, if I top up by 10 euro per month. How have others' upgrades worked?

all pre pay upgrades are like that. sometimes there's a 10 or 20 difference up or down for special offers
