    This is probably a complete idiots question, though do you get PAYE tax credits if you are self employed?.

    No only PAYE employees. Will try and find the link.
    Who can Claim?
    Any individual whose income is subject to PAYE i.e. Wages, Salaries, Occupational Pensions, Social Welfare Pensions, Benefit in Kind, etc.
