reformatting and reinstalling mac

    i have done this with windows before
    is there much to the process?
    if i reformat my HD will i be able to install bootcamp for free like i was able to 12 months ago?

    is there any good sites/tutorials online that would cover this?

    Back up
    Put in System CD.
    Reboot holding down C
    Will give you the options to erase, archive and install etc.
    OS installed.

    Depending on which version you have for Bootcamp. Only available if you have Leopard now, I think.

    id guess youre still running Tiger in that case first back up your Bootcamp Install and anything else inportant
    insert Tiger install disk
    System preferences --> Startup Disk and select the install DVD
    Restart
    I'd recomend before you do a clean install that you run a disk utility check first you can do this when booted from the DVD from the top menus
    then select clean install and away you go
    its very straight forward
    do backup first though
    shouldnt take more than 1/2 hour
