You can get details on most opens in the "Green Book" which publishes all the open fixtures across the country - GUI site also has this info on a weekly basis.

It could be interesting alright. Particularly interested in courses that will have qualifying competitions that would affect my handicap... I'm sick of playing non-qualifying rounds so I'm off to Rosslare this weekend for some Links golf :)
The winter alliance isn't too far off in the European Club. I noticed from their site that they have a matchplay too which is a cool idea, and excellent value if you keep winning ;)

to be honest im not interested if its qualifying or not just see it as a great oppurtunity to play one of irelands premiere courses at a reduced rate

Be careful with Druids Glen as they seem to only have there opens on the Heath course.

Just a singles competition and apparently the competitions are open to visitors on sundays too... plus I need some links golf to lift the spirit and I am going to St. Andrews in 5 weeks time so need a bit of practice.
Myself and a friend are going down and have a tee time just after 12 I think... off 4 and 15. Might be a spot available if you are interested?
