Hard to believe but there a rumours abond that M Night Shayalaam(excuse spelling) is going to write a Sequel to argueably his best film Unbreakable. I'm a small fan of his, although I didn't see the happening which is suppose to be poor to say the least.

    Thoughts?

Unbreakable is easily my favourite film of his, I absolutely love it. It's hard to imagine a sequel though, but if he pulls it off, it could be fantastic.

Hmm. Must watch this again. Hated it and 6th Sense the first time...

I reckon Unbreakable could be the Shylamyladingdong movie that will be remembered in the years the come as much 6th sense.

He has had some atrocious films since though. Given the style of the original Unbreakable, i would rather no sequel was made because the next natural step is for a full blown superhero movie, which cant be paced the same way as the first movie.

God, thats a good point. I hadn't actually thought of that! It would surely be an awful film if thet turned it into a bruce willis running around as a superhero with cape and all. I'd like to think he'd be too smart to pull that card but its hard to know with him

I'm going to join the Unbreakable fan-club here. Really great movie. One that I definitely think helped to kick off this superhero revival we've seen over the last few years. Unfortunately though, I think that Shyamalan has lost his mojo. The Village had some fair moments, Lady in the Water was poor and The Happening was irredeemably bad. He's clearly not the same director he was when he made Unbreakable, so I'm not sure I'd want him attempting something like this now.

Unbreakable is a quality film. I think most critics were unfair labelling it a rehash of 6th Sense. As a stand alone work i think Unbreakable is a significantly better film.
Can't really see a sequel working since a follow up to Bruce Willis' character's story just couldn't have the same tone which made the film so good.
They'll probably make the film about Willis' son or something contrived like that, sort of like what is happening with Donnie Darko 2.
