Hi, anybody know anything about these jobs. Are they your own vans and you work for the company or are they the companys. How would you go about getting a job with them if its you own van you need. What kink of working hours would be expected in one day?? Do you have to work saturdays? What kind of wage could you expect to make?

If its a self employed/owner operator set up - avoid it like the plague.

There was nasty stories on Joe Duffy last year about Fastway courier ownder/operators who bought into the franchise and got toasted - some went bust and 200k in debt.

The hours are mad, the costs are mad and you would be mad to buy in.

To work as a PAYE employee, we'll at least you can walk away if need be.

stay away its not worth your while(owner driver) my mate was doing it upto a couple of months ago he reckons he was better of as a paye worker.

the crowd he worked for leased the van to him who in turn leased it of the hire company so at the end of the lease the company owned the van not him.
