Oh right, didn't realise your budget. I have no experience with sigma lenses, I got a Tamron 17-50mm 2.8 for my first lens, great lens might be worth a look. The 28mm seems a bit like your filling in the middle gap with the 10-22 and the 1.4, I think a mid range zoom might seem like the better choice after viewing your flickr page. I haven't read any of the reviews between th two zooms, but I think the 28-70 might be the best choice for the longer range.

24-70 seems to be missing from your current line up

What type of photography do you favour?

The question you have posed is a little like "how long a piece of string do I need to tie a parcel?"

A mid-range zoom would appear to be missing from your equipment, but that would only be important if it is something you would use.

IMHO if you need people to make up your mind for you,you obviously havn't thought about it long enough,I used to ask on here maybe what the best lens was but now i just read online reviews,Just by looking at your above lens selection you've got a telephoto, wide angle and a prime.

So from that if i were you i'd go for the 24-70
But you havn't said what you need the lens for,do you actually have a reason or do you just want something new?
Also is weight an issue? As there is probably quite a big difference between the 28mm and the 28-70

If you answer those questions im sure people will be able to help you out

just to add to your confusion, the 24mm macro sigma f1.8 is a great little lens, and pretty cheap too

I'd steer cler of the Sigma 24-70 to be honest. I had one and I thought it was soft soft soft. Also, it's an awkward length on a crop sensor - not wide enough to be wide nor long enough to be tele IYKWIM ?

Seems to be pot luck with sigma!
Iv seen spome very sharp photos off them at f/2.8 and others are crap!
Best off trying before you buy imo

    Edit:
    It's actually the 24-70!
    Decent shot here:http://flickr.com/photos/sicalufakiss/2707018835/

    24-70mm f2.8 L USM

    Worth every cent.

Just throwing in that one 'cause of lack of info from the original poster.
