Would that be anything like the tuath na gael, and those mad fukers from fibbers like Smiley and that? They were a sound bunch of loons. :) Red Raven will know more of the names.

I'm so glad someone else remembers Smiley. Ever wonder what he's doing now?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 419 ✭✭eoghan.geraghty

Smiley can still be seen most saturday nights lurking around the rocker bar in bruxelles, a constant in a world of change.
On his holidays he ventures towards the foggy dew to harass female tourists with offers of a drunken ride:D

I was actually afraid that when I asked that question that someone might come back with "oh he works as an asset manager for Price Waterhouse Coopers" or something. But Eoghan you have just enhanced the vision of him I had in my head.

Boards.ie policy is that all advertising is to be done with adverts.ie .

At the moment we have an a nice little deal that alllows our regulars to just post their info here. Any time people want to lose that and have to use adverts.ie just let me know.

    +1

I know Jon quite well, as he train with me alot, and I'm very sure he more than willing to have communication with others. He has deep knowledge and a willingness to share. Its very hard to start a conversation with others when you're doing a minority art. I'm sure he using these post as way of starting up a line of interest. There people doing far worse things on boards and they havn't been threaten with a ban straight away.

I've have tried before to promote boards to my students, the last time two of my students came on, they were accused of actually being me, and were ban, which a few days later when this was proven not to be the case, the ban was lifted, but the two guys never came back to the forum.

I'm very sure over the next few weeks, if there others interested in what Jon does, you will see him bringing many interesting posts to boards. Not everyone knows straight away all the rules about posting. Anyway It's always good to see people promoting their own culture and trying to keep it alive.

    Liam.

It's called advertising Liam. Stop messing around here and face facts.

Point it out or report it to Mods, CMods, SMods or Admins. Post threads in the Helpdesk or Feedback. Their are avenues to deaing with issues you see. Sentences like the above just make you look bitter mate.

    and thanks for that.

Before my time as a Mod here mate. I can assure you i only ban for charter breaches that i can back up and anything that comes up on Muppet Check.

Any chance your students had used the same system/college/network as yourself to post?

This is the kind of thing we expect people to do BEFORE they want to advertise.

    This is pretty simple folks.

I changed the posts. Again very sorry bout this, Jon.
