How much for just SKY+ card?

    Hi,

    New to this board.

    Someone gave us their SKY+ box when they upgraded to HDD. We have a SKY package and so have an account with SKY. Does anyone know if we can just get a SKY+ card and how much does it cost (one off payment, monthly etc) ?

    Itr will cost you nothing, ring Sky tell them to pair your card (your accouynt) with the new box (get box number from menu) <--sorry, a year since I had a sky account so forget where to get that number, they will walk you through it)

    As I said, once you sub to at least min package, you pay nothing extra.

    You won't need a new card and your plus features should be available within a couple of hours.
    Do you have a quad lnb/dual lnb or single?
    If single, you will need to change it to dual/quad to get the benefits of plus. That may cost.

    Yeah, a SKY+ box will need two cable feeds from a quad LNB on your dish. These are pretty cheap. The main hassle would be getting an extra cable from the dish to your Sky box.

    Your existing card willl be fine in the Sky+ box, as said above. Just call Sky to get them to pair your existing card to the new box, and activate the recording features.

    The numbers that Sky will need will be found by pressing Services, System Setup, System Details.
