Routed subnet on Eircom

    Hi All,

I have a question similar to one posted yesterday regarding Eircom DSL bridging.

I've recently replaced a failed Netopia 3346 with an Eircom supplied 2247-02

The silver one shown here; http://www.netopia.com/support/intl/eircom/firmwareN.html

I have a routed subnet with Eircom (a /29) that I have been handling with a PIX behind the DSL device.

I think what I want to do is have the router do bridging _and_ PPPoE as described in this Netopia doc

    http://www.netopia.com/support/hardware/technotes/CQG_042.html

The Eircom firmware doesn't have the same feature set that is present on the native 2247-02 (or my old 3346 for that matter!). I can put it into bridging mode but can't get it to do PPPoE at the same time.

Would appreciate any help or pointers that indicate whether the 2247-02 can actually do this.

    Thanks.
