I have a Netopia 2247NWG router with Eircom and i used this method to get NAT 1 for the PS3 a couple of weeks ago
    http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showpost.php?p=55535677&postcount=25

It worked fine until recently. Now at random times the internet light(green bar) goes red and i have to login to the routers main page with my username and password:confused:. And the DSL light goes from a solid green bar to flashing. I think this could be a problem with PPPOE,anyone have any ideas?

    thanks:cool:

When the DSL light flashes it is trying to sync with your telephone line. Mine never flashes even when I am online or offline. It only flashes when the router is rebooted.

Try as first suggested and push the pin hole in to reset the router to factory settings. You will have to reconnect via a LAN cable as all your wireless settings will be lost.

If it is still a problem, try setting your connection to "always on" instead of "on-demand". Should'nt matter but have seen guill07 post on this before and it worked for him. This way the router will stay connected to the net constantly so that your connection does not time out.

More likely problem is either router or line. Do above first to try a workaround on router, but may need a second router as a test to rule out line completly.
