I was watching childrens tv on trial on bbc4 sat night and sure enough it was there in the 70's ..it was playing over a number of images so i was unable to determine what programme used it as the theme tune...

It was for sure used by RTE sports for International football, late 80s and early nineties to be replaced by the final countdown. I have always allied Irelands football failings with the change in theme tune
