    You'll be wanting wrestlingfigs.

    http://wfigs.proboards48.com/

It takes a while to get used to, and your intelligence will go to crap (its full of 12 year olds that bitch and moan about everything) but if you stay long enough, you'll learn how Jakks operate and what is and isn't valuable.

You'll also learn that you will never, ever, EVER make money off wrestling figures. Ever.

Anything that is short-packed (1 per case, etc.) isn't brought to the UK/Ireland, because Vivid Imaginations had a lot of trouble with diva figures not selling.

So.. in order to get anything valuable you must buy it off ebay in the US. then, if you decide to make money off it, you have to sell it back to them, and they wont buy it because AN POST rape you and it'll be too expensive.

If you want to make money, buy other things. wrestling figures are an awesome collectible. But not at all valuable in the slightest.

Cheers for the intro CBG :P

I have this site which is good for images:

    http://loosejakks.proboards54.com/index.cgi?

and if you want to buy stuff:

    Good US Seller:

    UK Seller:

I really liked the LOD ones . i have seen them on the Internet but i never saw them in town. The legends are great but the more i looked at them the more i was seeing the same moulds. I do have a signed Warrior and Bret though .

LOD are 'Internet Exclusive' figures. Meaning you can only order them online, or from specialist stores (WrestlingMania for example).

And practically every figure is the same from the neck down. Jakks Pacific (the company who currently make the figures) are the cheapest shower of cnuts around.

Thankfully, they lose the license in 2010 to Mattel, so wrestling figures may begin to look a hell of a lot better then. Although i haven't bought any in a long time and dont have much intention on doing so in future anyway...

I was in Smyths in Dublin city for the first time in about 5 years the other day buying resources and it really struck me the sheer amount of WWE merchandise they had. It was vast.

There was something about seeing a row of Repo Man dolls in 2008 that I couldn't quite get my head around other than obviously, there's a market with collectors and even kids who see the WWE logo, like the look of the character and want it bought for them.

I'm not sure whether Mattel getting the license is a good thing. Correct me if I'm wrong but they currently produce the TNA figures and they are complete rubbish

Slightly off topic, but anyone remember the Wrestlefest arcade game? When they had Earthquake in it, completely muscle defined? I dunno what it is about games and figures that they have to throw muscles into it. Even on the SVR series, guys like Big Slow look muscular!

You're thinking of Marvel, not Mattel.

Not yet. But soon enough. Early next year (in his 80's gear) and late next year (corporate).

    Those WCW figures mark2?

Arent they more 'Toy-like'? Better for kids to hold in each hand and do like 30 foot pedigrees and swantom bombs.

I'll be honest. I have a fair few WWE and TNA figures, mainly cause I like collecting things, and I like the TNA ones. They are decent in that they seem to have kept people's sizes in proportion to each other.

EG. I have Kevin Nash and Petty Williams figures, and Williams is half the size of Nash. Likewise I have Undertaker and Brian Kendrick figures and Kendrick is the same size as Taker. I know that sounds kinda childish to complain about, but it's something that bugged me as I collect them.

*Hangs head in shame at the admission :o*

    I agree.

My friend has a big show fig from his stint just before ecw, and a rey mysterio from the same set (i think).
And they made rey look nearly bigger in proportion with show. He has crap scrawny arms, but rey looked like kali!

I think they got it right when they brought hogan/andre out, that seemed to work well.

In fairness, Big Show, Andre and Khali are all monstrous figures. Its people like Kane, Taker, Nash etc. that suffer and are the same height as everyone else.

Doesn't kick in until 2010 if I remember correctly.

    Yeah. 2010.

One has to wonder what will happen to the poor SvR series?

Seen as JAKKS and THQ were practically partners with the game, and JAKKS have gotten the boot, i can imagine THQ aren't gonna be too long behind them.

JAKKS lost the license to the figures, i dont think they have lost the developing contract they have with THQ to make the game?

As this is up to THQ, and not particulary WWE?

No, everything is WWE's decision. Its their brand. Of course the can't just terminate THQ's contract whenever they want. But considering both Jakks AND THQ got in sh1t with WWE at the same time about the same court case, WWE will no doubt want rid of both companies. I think Legends of RassleMania will be THQ's second last outing (With Smackdown! 11 being their final game). Then WWE will get someone else. EA Sports is a name i've heard been thrown around on other forums. Apparently Akklaim no longer exist (they used to make the old WWF games like "Attitude").

Sooner THQ are gone, the better, in my opinion. SVR has gotten very stale.

I wouldnt mind another EA made game, but they would have a LOT to live up to. As stale as THQ and co have made their wrestling games as late, no one can deny that they have improved on each release.

For me as long as (and ive said this on previous threads) as long as EA could bring out a game that stayed true to wrestling. Take that whatever way you want, either it be better story mode, better control system...
And didnt try and make it too "Related to today" as in trying to take a genre and adapt it the way they think.
They seem to do that wayyy to much.

    I did like this game:
    242-Def%20Jam%20Vendetta_jpg.jpg

But not sure if this would work for WWE?..
