I changed the strings on my Les paul the other day, they only had D'addarios.... :(

Anyways, the ABR-1 bridge on my Les Paul is buzzing because the saddles aren't being held down properly by the retainer wire, it wasn't like that before. I can't seem to stop it, any ideas??

Its a fairly common problem, it was never a great design.

Ive heard of guys bodging a fix by putting kinks in the wire between each screw.

I would just take it off and put on a modern drop-in replacement...keep the original one safe so you can restore it to stock if you need.

Sometimes you get buzziness with a string change.......let them settle for a few days and then see if the problem is still there.

I have got a proper guitar. Despite it's simplicity my Jr. could floor a lot of other guitars.

Nah, it's not that kinda buzz. It's coming from the bridge itself.

Thanks for the suggestions... I might try the crimping thing.
If all else fails, I'll replace the bridge but I'd rather not. I love the tone and don't want to change it. :(

I'm pretty sure they're in the grooves ok.

Not too mad on the sound of the D'addarios. It's hard to place.
I normally use Ernie Ball Power Slinkies but Musician was out of them. :(
At least it's an excuse to go out to this X-Music place at the weekend. :D
