I've just been thinking that a lot of companies employees and the likes come onto boards and get themselves promptly banned for pimping their own stuff i.e. User has 3 posts and they are all in threads on the computer forum saying how much they love their new Dell pc they just bought and that the service is amazing etc.…

I've just been thinking that a lot of companies employees and the likes come onto boards and get themselves promptly banned for pimping their own stuff i.e. User has 3 posts and they are all in threads on the computer forum saying how much they love their new Dell pc they just bought and that the service is amazing etc.
Anyway if a company approached you and asked to buy your boards.ie account which had 1000+ posts for say 500euro would you say yes? They could then subtly pimp their stuff and other posters wouldn't be as suspicious? They would probably eventually get caught though but sure you would have your money at that stage I suppose.

thats big business on ebay...where people sell their accounts with lots of positive feedback and high star rating, etc.....then sell some bogus stuff that people think they are buying off a legit good standing seller.

There are some folk on here and I am convinced they are exactly as described in the OP. Their love of certain brands (despite their flaws) seem illogical at the best of times and I often wondered are they being paid for their opinion
