I'm not sure if this is the right place,.
My friend gave me a photocopier for my daughters school. Its functioning perfect but the page comes out blank.I took out the bottle of powdered ink , shook it and put it back in, any suggestions.
    its an IBS photocopier.
    thanks again,
    Cathy

Your only chance is to get hold of the distributors and ask them. You could be out of developer, the fusser unit could be broken there are lots of causes. Sorry.

Christ I hate printers/copiers/fax machines. Always a pain. Its possible that you could just replace the ink, iv noticed in printers that havent been used in a while it print blank or in weird colours. Other then that, I cant think of what else could be done besides brininging it to a shop that specialises in those type of repairs.

Let us know how you get on, would be interested.

The call out charge is to discourage people calling for minor reasons that they could potentially sort out themselves over issues that actually need one of their techs to go out and look! :)

    Best of luck.

€150 is the going rate I'm afraid. Our place charges €130 for the 1st hour, and €80 per hour afterwards. Parts not included. Ex Vat. We don't do Konica, so I'm afraid I don't have any insight into this particular printer.

Generally these types of printers are sold with a maintenance contract. You'd receive a charge per usage (there is probably a meter on the side of it), which covers all maint, breakdowns, and possibly toner. If you did have to throw money at it, I'd get pricing on a contract. Otherwise, I spotted a friendly chap on another forum with a service manual.

    Could be worth a try....
