Can you please recommend a nice place to go for Xmas skiing for a week or two. We are looking for a nice family orientated place that would have a creche facilities for a 12 months old. Don't event know where to start looking. Austria or Switzerland preferably. Thanks.

Not having done the family skiing thing myself I wouldn't be too sure of where the most appropriate places would be, but I did just see an advert on the side of Dublin Bus this lunch time say kids ski for free in Andorra. Although that's not nessecarily somewhere I'd have though of as a family destination it would depend on which of the resorts you head to there.

Also there is the Winter Sports forum where you should be able to find someone with more expirence than myself of heading away skiing with children.

I would suggest Scheffau in the ski Welt. Very popular with families and if you go with a tour operator then they have creche facilities.

If you are going with an operator then get their brochure and see which resorts have the creche/nanny service and are family friendly.

If you are going it alone then have a look at the various ski school websites for ski nursery facilities.

You have to decide where you want to go though first and that will depend on ski ablity, transfer time, if you want a lively place, ski in/out etc.

Thank you. By the way - went to Andorra 2 years ago. Brilliant for beginners and school for kids. This time would like to do something different.
