    Hi all,
Was in Dublin city centre recently and noticed a number of non-Irish hairdressers offering their services a lot cheaper than Irish hairdressers.

I get a full head of meche and a cut and blowdry every 8 weeks or so.
I also have hair extensions (worth about €200) which match my hair colour perfectly and which would be awkward to dye (so can't have any colour disasters with my real hair!).

Does anyone know if these hairdressers are as good, or are they specialised to their native techniques- e.g. would Chinese hairdressers be trained on Causacian hair?

    BPE

Lots of irish people have gone to these hairdressers and had completely satisfactory experiances. Just do a search here and I'm sure you'll find some threads.

I had a a cut in colour in an asian hairdressers on Talbot Street about a year and a half ago. The colour was fine, they fecked up my fringe though. Have heard mixed reviews, usually about the cuts though, not the colour.

I go the the Asian hairdressers on Westmooreland St. I can't remember what it's called though.

They do a great cut and are the only hairdressers that have ever given me decent layers. The only bad thing is that they seem to be more used to Asian hair and my thin Irish hair doesn't hold up as well.

I still go, and they're still great. €21 for wash, cut and blowdry. Permanent straightening is less than €100.
