    Hi Guys,

Used to watch a tv programme on BBC few years ago called "Goodnight Sweetheart"
Main character was called Gary and he was able to time travel between the present and wartime London, had a wife in both "worlds etc.
    Does anybody remember it??
The series ended and I never saw the last few episodes. Just wondering if anybody did, can you fill me in on how it ended....

    Thanks:)

Goodnight Sweetheart is proof that if you throw enough folksy nostalgia at something, time travelling bigamy and currency forgery are acceptable family entertainment.

Wikipedia is always useful for these things. Here is how it says the show ended.
Yvonne sees Gary go through the time portal and demands answers on his return. Gary later celebrates VE Day with Phoebe, Reg and company, and saves guest-speaker Clement Atlee's life when a foe tries to kill him. After Gary has completed this task, to his horror, the time portal closes unexpectedly, leaving the time traveller in the 1940s, with Ron explaining the truth to Yvonne in the nineties.

Gery writes a not on the wall in 1945 as its in the same apartment he lives in in the 90s. In a way he changed the future in a small way (writing a note that was never there before) so it only appeared when he wrote it and Ron was the first to read it

I watched the first 2 episodes on you tube recently

this might answer your question, didnt get a chance to look so might not
