I'd say your other half will only be delighted :pac:

Eh, personal preference really. If you want to go to FotA, go to Cork. Galway can also be nice. Are you driving or going on public transport? How many people? Who is it - friends or boyfriend or what?

    Cork is a decent spot.

Its probably easier if you're actually driving though as Fota Park is outside the city a fair amount (wouldnt like to price a taxi out to there and unsure of busses). If you've been there as a child prepare for disappointment as its nowhere near as big as you remember. You'd easily see everything in an hour and a half.

Will you be looking for a bit of a city break or a relaxing break ? Weekend I assume ?

Galway I couldnt really say, Its been years since i was there for anything other than work.

You could go to either place and have a great time. If you're driving then it opens up way more opportunities. Google Galway or Cork (maybe get the spelling right this time ;-) ) and see what has more to appeal to you in the vicinity.

My personal preference would be Galway, but that's me. And that's only because I've been to Cork many's a time and only a few times to Galway.

molly(",) please try to spell check your posts. It's very hard to read them now.

OT - Galway, the crown of the West :D Do visit, I love it here.
Or you could check out Belfast, very happening town and has pretty much everything.
Newgrange if you are into Irish history.
