Verifying paypal account with bank account?

    Hi,
    I want to verify my paypal account, but I don't have a credit card. Can I use my AIB bank account to verify it?

    I have just been going thru this pathetic scenario. I also don't have , nor will i ever have, a credit card. So I set up a PayPal account and transfered money to it via bank account. I thought I was all set. Then i tried paying for an item on ebay, no joy, kept asking me for CC details even though I had a balance on Paypal already.

    Talking to PayPal C. S. they say that, in Ireland, you must validate account with credit card. Great, but, they did say I might be able to pay for the item via the 'transfer money' page on the Paypal site, which is what i eventually did.

    Still tho, this is really stupid. Either Paypal should take lasercard or they should have another way of validating address.

    PITA!
