The date format on the front page "Latest Posts - Post Date" is in US format ie 10-6, any chance it could be changed to Irish format 6-10 ? Thanks.

Is it not an SQL default?

"Date values in SQL is always saved in "MM/DD/YY(YY)" format"

As a result of work I write my dates as 20081006 [not that I use Oct6 as the date everytime. obviously]

I expect it is, but the date is in the normal format on all the forum pages.

No biggie, it just looks odd. It threw me earlier when I saw everything date 10-6, I thought the database had gone down the Swanee. :D

noticed this and it confused the hell out of me as well. +1 to Hagar's suggestion.
