    ...to another season !!

Yep, the rare break in the weather meant I actually got to see the colour of the car today in it's glory.........just before a quick wash, and rolling it into the garage for the winter......... :(:(

...insurance transferred back to the 'ordinary car', and important things done.........like empty the CD changer (or we'll never remember where all those went, come December....).

Pity the weather was so, so, ****e this year.....maybe next year, huh ??

I was thinking of putting the Mustang away for the winter, but just realised that the weather has never been drier!

This is the new car season :)

I don't know about yours - but my car's waterproof!

Might pop the hardtop on at some point, but winter driving ftw!

While we're on the subject of cold, does anyone know or can point to what increase in performance (high density air) can be expected with a decrease in incoming air temperature?

    Why?

The only reason I can possibly think of to store it in the garage is to save on motor tax. This though is a false economy as the car will depreciate heavier than it costs to tax anyway. And you aren't getting any joy out of it!

Correct - it is the tax.

There's nothing 'false' about not spending Eur1300 for.........nothing - I disagree, the car won't depreciate more than that. Not using it this winter will allow me to try and get in a position to get a 996.

As mentioned, I'm keeping the Tiptronic on the road - that's another Eur1300. And that's more than 3 times the insurance.........

Eur 2600 p.a. for tax  Sobering thought - and that's just those two......

Ah, apologies. I didn't realise you had both of them taxed and running!

Yes, well, I did try the 911 thing, and tbh.......it's just too......old. The 968 is modern enough, and classic enough, if you get my drift.....so can't complain too much.

    Actually, I can ! :D

Unkel: 'fraid so, both taxed simultaneously - they're a bit too ticket-happy around here, and it's a small town.........too easy to get spotted w/no tax.......it's the wardens, more than the guards that'll do the ticket........that, and having a GTC neighbour.......be kind of pushing it/cheeky, really, not to.........
