Just relax for a couple hours watch a bit of tele or play a few games online. Then go to bed about 10 or 11. Back up around 4 or 5 and do it all again :D

    Used to work 8pm - 8am, 4 days on, 3 days off.

Work was on the other side of the city so wouldn't get home until about 9am. First 2 days I'd get in and hit the hay straight off. 3rd day I'd be used to it so would potter about for an hour or so talking with family.

4th day was a killer, I'd go to sleep around 10am but force myself to get up around 2 so I could get back into the swing of normal hours. Then it started again a few days later :(

slightly off topic, but the longest hours of the morning is between 5 and 6 am. Hate the time, just dragged.

yeah i know the feeling will..
i used to do the 8pm-8am a couple years ago and it was a pain in the swiss..
also didn't help that i was doing it monday-friday for two *edit months leading upto christmas...
although the money was pretty good, it needn't have mattered with no energy to hang around and try go shopping after finishing up..
managed to get about three and a half weeks straight of minimal twenty mins of any form of daylight as it was dark when i finished work, and dark again when i got up...

*edited to two months, as opposed to two moths, because otherwise that would be weird.. and sad... and kinda cool at the same time...

I'm gonna moan a bit more now :D

Took me 2.5 hours to get to work with traffic so would usually leave around 5pm, be in anytime between 7:30 and 8pm. So average sleep would be about 5 hours or so. It was 2 summers ago also, the real stupidly hot one. sleeping during the day was so hard

Nice to know I'm not the only one doing 8-8, altho I'll be back to days for the weekend. Plays havoc with my system switching every few days. On the bright side, I'm off tomorrow, but I'll probably lseep most of it

I work 11pm to 8am, not bad but when i get home (bout 9am) i generally have a lil snack stick on a dvd and fall asleep to it, wake up by 3pm and go play the computer or watch tv, then its back to bed round 6-7pm and sleep till 10ish, up shower and off to work!

Cos i'm up during the day switching back for the weekend isnt a problem!

I used to work two jobs -
one was 9am-5.30pm Mon-Fri, reception, so I'd have to be up by 7.30 the latest.
the other was 10.30pm - anywhere from 1am - 4am, 15mins walk home, check mails, go to bed. Try and sleep. get up before half 7.

I used to work 8 am to 8 pm for three days in a row, then be off two days and then do 8 pm to 8 am. Every week this would change between mornings and evenings. I am used to staying up late so the night shifts weren't that difficult to adjust to. I loved the time between 4 am and 6 am, really lovely night skies. Used to avoid taking caffeine and sugar during the night shift as you would be fcuked the next day. I preferred the night shift to the day shift, more of a nocturnal owl anyway. Also hated the chocolate goodies that my mates used to take when working days/nights.

On days used to stay up late and on nights used to stay up lat(er). It's my routine, and I always stood by it.
