new steam iron

    Hi

For some reason I keep knocking my newish iron off the ironing board and have finally damaged the steam function. I don't mind buying a new one but would love a recommendation. I've never had an iron that I thought was hot enough for cotton and linen. Even at the max setting and with steam coming out fast I still find it hard to get a great finish.

Any recommendations? BTW the current one is a morphy richards.

If you want a proper steam iron the best option is to get a professional style one with a resevoir. You get more sustained steam out of them. I know philips do one, unsure of price though.

Unfortunately from my extensive experience :( I can recommend a Tefal Express - its a steam generator iron ... has a water reservoir.... if you get one make sure your ironing board is not solid so to let the steam go through ... also check out the actual steam that it emits etc...

The only thing I would change about it is that it had a removable and larger water reservoir....
