I was drugged last night

I feel really stupid. Last night I was out with some friends and towards the end of the night I saw a girl and at the bar drinking. I went up to talk to her and she offered me a drink, so I was drinking at the bar with this girl. I wasn't drunk at all (i only had maybe 3 drinks) before this, but all of a sudden i was strugggling to speak and slurring my words. I don't fully remember much that happened after that.

I woke up today very late (3pm) and couln't remember how i got home. About 10 minutes after waking up I was trying to remember how i got home. I remembered then going hme with the girl and I could piece together what happened. I realised then my camera, MP3 player, money, credit cards etc. were missing. The girl obviously came home with me and then when i was asleep took all my stuff. I am angry with myself for letting this to happen. I have lost about €500.... I upset with my friends also as I think they should have looked out for better.

I am not really sure that this should be in personal issues and i am not sure what replies i want. I am just very upset and a little bit ashamed. I just need to tell someone, but i don't want to tell my friends or family. I suppose I should try to look on the positive side that it is only money gone and forget the whole thing.

if you're pretty sure you were drugged/robbed...CCTV is everywhere these days, go back tot he pub in question and explain the situation. If they can show any pictures/videos of you leaving with the girl, you can approach the gardai.

Im very sorry to hear that, i was drugged once a few years back and all i remember is leaving the event and hiding behind a skip on the ground as i was getting worse.

Next thing i remember 2 guys trying to take my wallet and keys in my pocket. As drugged as i was i left both of them in a heap bleeding with the aid of a cobble stone and savage temper.

I just remember waking up the next day under my car at heuston train station.

    good times

oh my god thats awful! would anyone in your house have seen her? you should prob go back to the bar club and inform the manager incase she's targeting that club, as einstein said check the CCTV. Also cancel the credit cards...if you havent already done so.

Terrible situation to find yourself in. I would agree with the previous advice - report to Gardai, to manager of bar etc. as this woman will do the same thing to other men in the future.

Report this and make her pay for being a thief.

Get yourself to a dr or hospital and get yourself checked out and tested, the drugs won't stay in your system for long. Then make a report to the garda. It is a horrible thing to happen to anyone.

    I was spiked last year.

Isn't a very nice experience. I went completely hysterical in my head but I couldn't move my body at all. It was horrible.

Sorry to hear that happened to you. I was lucky that two security men copped it and got rid of the creep. I don't really know what you can do, apparently the drugs don't stay in your system for long, the security men just told my friends to give me lots of drinks and let me sleep it off.

I'd say write down everything you remember NOW, before you forget even the small details. If you do plan on taking it any further then it's important to have as much info as possible. It funny the things you begin to remember throughout the next day, so make a note of it all now.

Yeah try not too feel too bad about yourself.. it seems this is an altogether too common experience now.. happened to me not too long ago where i took a joint off a guy and started coming up on an Mdma like substance.. i freaked out and hopped in the nearest taxi to the nearest friends house too come down..

there is definitely some message in there about keeping our guard up for a little more while in this society, but in the end of the day these are confidence tricksters, they are the real scum and you shouldnt beat yourself up too much

about your friends, i do think you have a right to say it to them, although you cant really blame them.. at least talking about it might stop it happening someone else in your group

PS agree with all above about going to guards, manager.. dont let these scum get away with it

I'd agree with above suggestions to contact the Gardai about it. First thing though I'd get yourself to a doctor and get checked out. You need to make sure you're ok, and also if the drugs are still in your system, they'll show up in a blood test, so if the Gardai do have any luck finding the girl, at least you'll have proof that you were indeed spiked, and you didn't just drink yourself into oblivion.

Bad luck man, but at least you got away with "only" 500€ damage...health is much more important, so at least you are ok. Don't feel ashamed, this was just bad luck.....in a few months you will have a laugh over it and put it in the "life experience" book ;)

I would still go to the Garda though.

sorry to hear about what happened.
as with other replies go to the guards and go back
to where it happened and ask for the manager and tell them
what happened they might be able to put more awareness
out there... hope you let your friends know too..

Hi everyone. Thanks for the advice. Unfortunately i am in a country where the police don't really care. I went to the doctors anyway to get checked out anyway, best to look after my health!!!

Everything that was taken will be easily replaced, so i should look on the bright side and just be careful in the future. It was just when i looked back at it i felt so stupid, like i shouldn't have let her get me in a taxi etc. then i realised, i was drugged, i had no control!!!!!

    Another lesson in life :)

Haha, I wish!! I am in Russia at the moment. I have been here for the last 18 months and had to pay "fines" to the police twice ($50 each time) and have also been mugged once before (€200). When i read afterhours and hear the whole "scumbag" debate it really makes me wonder

I will maybe call the Irish Embassy to see if they would be any help. At the moment though, i would just like to forget the whoel thing. Take it on the chin and be careful in the future!!!!
