Perfect example of when a Taser could be put to good use to prevent further injury and reduce risk all round.

This was on the bbc site last week too.

Can i ask, combattive head injury? and would they then both be spinaled?

Thats totally crazy! Speechless wouldnt be the word!

Both would have or should have been spinal, yes, the first was but when the second got up and started running, she was obiously restrained and maybe ended up spinal, but nearly to keep her subdued as much as aything i would think.

Unbelievable. the mentality of some people.

It is however an example of two things people often jump on, if the person wont stay still when the police are trying to help what do you do? Restrain them people shout 'police brutality', dont and your letting them risk further injury to themselves and others.

The second, yes it really can take 4 or 5 people to arrest one person, male or female. Again, I bet many people seeing the arrest on its own would be shouting about reasonable force and police brutality.

We have all had people commenting on how we dealt with a situation. In fact I may just save this video and use it as a example.

I wonder what they were on, there's no way they weren't out of it on something.

According to another poster of the same video on youtube,

these 2 twins returned to northen ireland where they were staying when discharged from hosiptal, 3 days later, one of them stabbed a 54 year old male to death and jumped off a m/way bridge into oncoming traffic, but once again survived, and is on remand in an irish prison charged with murder!!

Not sure how true that is though, but considering its so hard to believe the video in the first place, it wouldnt suprise me!

PCP I believe, hence the Terminator-like resistance to instant death.

I am shocked and appalled that people like them risk their own lives, risk emergency services lives and members of the publics lives. When one was hit by a car and one was hit by a HGV, AND miraculously survived, it makes you think how cruel life can be. Innocent people die on our roads each year, and to be frank, I would rather see them dead, then one of the emergency services personnel or a member of the public seriously injured.

Sorry for the strong use of words but I do think that thats the only way I can put it.

As I already said they were on PCP! This is a very very nasty drug that even here is still rare.

PCP, I need to get me some of the stuff for next time I deal with a moron on it!
