I applied for a Beta key from USA Today for a friend... and so far they've sent me 3 codes for some reason.

So I have 2 to spare. I think you might need a US PSN account set up for them to work.

First 2 to PM me can have them.

EDIT: Both gone now.... I'll post again if they send me any more.

Got the codes from here:

Aren't we a desperate bunch... well with only a couple of days left in the beta it looks like we'll miss it. And I hear it's awesome, which just makes me sad. Two weeks and we can own it anyway.

I've found the online co-op play to be pretty broken.

Just lags to the point of unplayability... hopefully it will work better when it finally comes out.

Ya I got that aswell sometimes it can be ok(bearable) if theres only 2 people but with 3 or 4 its just really annoying. Especially when your in your pod trying to select a level.
Ya hopefully it will be better in the full version because the co-op is one of the best parts of the game

Dunno if all the keys we US-based but if so that could explain the laggy multiplayer?

Mine was EU. Haven't had online co-op work correctly once, although I've heard it can happen.

RE the lag - I've found there's lag if people are joining or leaving levels - it tends to mess you up. But if you've got a full team of 4 you can go from level to level without any lag - at least, in my experience. Its great.

Quick question for those that are playing the Beta - if you want to play a level in Online mode, how do you do it so that you join *other* people hosting the level?

Any time I do it, it seems that I start the level, and then three other people join it. This is fine as we play through the level, but then when it's completed, the three people pop up in my Pod, and I'm like "Wait, what are you doing in my house!?" It's annoying if you wanted to go do something Solo after that level. I want to just be able to join someone else as they're playing the level, and then leave them afterwards.

Not sure you can do that - once you've all joined together as a group, all players follow the leader until they decide to quit the group, or the leader quits the group.

Regarding the lag, I'd agree it seems to happen mainly when people are joining levels mid-way... once everyone is in, it seems ok.

LBP kicks ass, contrary to what I expected - I really like making levels, the only bad thing is that it sucks up time like no recent game has for me - I played for 5-6 hours the other night, and thought about an hour had passed...

Anyway, roll on the full game.

I found the lag was much much better (practically non existant) in the first week of the beta. Once the number of people getting invites started going up and the stress on the server increased it got a lot worse. Hopefully they'll have been using the beta to note things like that and they'll have the server capacity they require for the full game. To be honest I wouldn't be surprised if its unplayable for this reason on release but they'll get it up to scratch soon after.
