    Hi guys,

I don't know if this is the right place to post or not but I have a question that I need an answer for.

I am going for an interview tomorrow for a pharmaceutical sales (selling products to GP's) and I need some advice-

Is there anyone out there can give me some tips? I am 27 with a Masters in Business Studies, I am a good seller and would have no problem doing this job but I need to know a little more about it, so I go in full of knowledge.

Thanks for your help in advance

    Cheers

When they say to you "Are you willing to lie to doctors and skew medical data, in order to sell our products, regardless of their benefit to patient care?" Say "yes", and you'll nail the job.

Seriously, drug sales reps are very often despised in hospitals and GP surgeries because they will often say anything to sell a drug, even really really crappy drugs. I give them a pretty hard time, and so do a lot of docs, so you'll need a thick skin.

The only thing I would say to you is that you shouldn't do a job like that unless you have a superb grasp of statistics and are willing to read all the data that you're presenting yourself. Don't take your boss's word for it. A lot of drug reps end up looking very foolish.

But maybe these aren't the things to say at the interview.

Good luck with it, though :d

    How did the interview go?

And for those who are medical sales rep's - So what's it like being a medical sales rep? What are the hours like? How difficult is it to make the sale?
