Intriguing... the timetable on the SIS is not the same as the one I got during my course meeting on wednesday so I'm guessing they're wrong.

Also mildly terrifying: the mere existence of a "Saturday" column. People have lectures on saturdays? : (

The same user can have loads of different passwords associated with their account. Are you possibly trying to access the timetable from off-campus, but using your on-campus password? Or vice versa?

Yeah believe it or not I had school on Saturdays up to last year. Being a fresher I can really appreciate a two day weekend now!

ARGH! All of last week I had Tuesday completely free, but then this appears:

    "09:00-10:00 (TUT)
    Weeks: 6-8, 10-12, 19-21, 23-25, 30-32
    Module: EN1001
    Site: ARTS
    Room: 4012"

Just a one hour thing on a 9am! My only 9am start, and that's all I'm in for the whole day. What a waste of getting up early, only to go home again! And after I'd been bragging about my free Tuesdays and everything. The shame.

Oh, and just to clarify, by Academic Week Six, they mean that the above tut only starts next week, right?

I think it's to do with Michaelmas term actually starting in September or waybackwhen.

Yup yup, this is technically Week 5, yay confusion!

gaybitch - that's English, right? CCT? You can probably swap into another tutorial group easily enough if you go talk to the folks in the office. Horrendous class to have at 9am.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,851 ✭✭✭PurpleFistMixer

Ah jaysus, but I have some lectures that are only on week 1, and some that end on week 6. Confusion.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 271 ✭✭gaybitch

Yep, our French JF head told us that this is Week 5 because the faculty have been in for the past few weeks so that's how they do it.

ClaireH, do you think they'd actually switch me if I asked? I'd love if they did! Should I see my tutor, the head of JF English or who?

Just pop into Diane in the freshman office - room 4015 I think. Unless they've seriously tightened up things, it shouldn't be too much of a problem to move to a different tutorial group. If you're TSM you can mutter about having a timetable clash if that helps you feel less guilty about it. :)

Speaking of English timetables - does it seem odd to have a tutorial in the school of nursing? Or am I missing something? :0 Not to mention one in a lab AND I'm missing one history subject that I thought I had:(
(Confused and enraged by 9am tuts too)

Does anyone know what is going on with tutorials for first year science..according to the timetable I got from that link I have two maths methods tutorials on Monday alone and i'm only supposed to have one a week...also I have three chemistry tutorials and no biology tutorials....that has to be wrong right?

Sounds like you should ask your lecturers perhaps. Probably a timetable mistake.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 271 ✭✭gaybitch

Few people in my tutorials had a timetable mistake - the internet told them one thing, but the timetable on the noticeboard said another. It seemed that the noticeboard was usually right.

If by internet you mean the Student Information System (SIS) - yeah, for the most part ignore it.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 271 ✭✭gaybitch

I have to say, it's been perfect for me so far.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 889 ✭✭✭Bajingo
