    Hours before his fight tonight , Arthur Abraham has just realised that he has the flu.
    The entire card is now invalid and cancelled , as Arthur hires in a professional photographer to capture a doctor putting a thermometer into his mouth, in an effort to convince fans of the legitimcy of his claims !!

    He now looks forward to fighting a Marquez , who will be even older in 6 weeks time !!!

    In fairness, I'd hate to have to fight 12 rounds with the flu.

    yeah i know but ,.... there was a time when fighters used to fake fitness to get in the ring, having the flu is not ideal but discovering it on the day of the fight is not good either.

    Maybe its just me , but too many fighters are comfortable ringing in sick , thus spoiling everybody's day out.

    He would be a fool to fight a tough and durable opponent like Marquez with the flu. Also, you could make the case he's shortchanging his fans if he goes ahead with a fight where he won't be at 100 per cent. There is also the little consideration of his future earnings. A fight with Pavlik might not be quite as lucrative if he has a loss on his record which could well happen if he fought Marquez over 12 rounds with a bad flu.

    bottom line is that he just blew out Miranda in 4 rounds.
