    Hi,
Apologies for such a basic question:confused:. We're looking for a wireless broadband provider for a house with 4 laptops, all students. We don't want a phone line and don't have cable t.v. Would be VERY grateful for a recommendation as we completly ignorant in this field.

You won't get wireless broadband unless its eircom of some other provider for 4 laptops your best bet is going for 3 or o2's thing that you plug in to laptop!

Just google Fixed wireless access for your area and you should get some answers - but best to ask around your location too, local knowledge is best
