    Hello

First of all I am new here so please bare with me if I am asking the wrong question

I am currently working on a project where I need to come up with an original love story, that will be written to script and from there put to film. I AM NOT a writer but have been in music production for quit some time. I have some ideas but don't really know where to go with them. Yes it will go to film but we have some time to work on it before we commit to film.

Straight to the point is there anyone here who would be interested in working with me to put something together.

I'm sure you guys probably get this allot and I hope its not a problem to ask.

If anyone at all is interested please send me a PM or maybe point me in a direction where i could find people interested in working with someone new to serious writing.

    Thank you

    JP

The whole plan sounds ridiculous. Of all the writers out there knocking together screenplays that don't get a look at the studios, why would someone green-light a project featuring an as-yet unwritten story from a non-writer?

That's an easy answer, I'm funding the project with a partner of mine whom I have worked with for years without giving out to much information. Not hard to work with some of the people we know in film as long as we are fronting the funds and does not need to be a large studio to go to film. You have to start somewhere and not doing anything is exactly what will get us Nowhere. I would not worry to much about a project that you do not have any intentions of getting involved in. Please don't make this a post an attack on something you have no information about.

Again I am looking for someone to help work on this project with. Any information about funding or specifics will be discussed once I have a better idea of the interested parties.

    Thank you again

That's precisely the point. With no information, who's going to get involved?

I really think you have that backwards, but good luck anyway.

When I say Original I mean to try and come up with an idea outside of the normal lines of what you see in film today. I know that's pretty general but i am trying to put something together that has not been recycled over and over again on screen. It would be nice to take the time and form some really good story lines and plots that would hold a deep interest of the people watching or even reading. I have found that in my experience you don't always have to be a master writer to come up with great ideas, you just have to know how to project what you are thinking onto paper so that it all fits.

Remember, I am only here because i don't have all the answers when it comes to writing. I hope that someone will be willing to work with me to help me best form this story.

    Thanks again

That's why I put the post up and anyone interested could PM me for Information. I have no desire to post our personal information in regards to this project in public.

So I don't see it as backwards but thanks for the concern.

You might be taking offence but I was just giving my opinion, albeit brashly. You said yourself 'please bear with me if I'm asking the wrong question'.

Have you any notion at all about what kind of film you want to make - the genre, length, number/type/ages of characters, era, target audience... ?

Opinions are always welcome and no offense taken.

I would really like to do a serious Love/Romantic tragedy. We are leaning towards a story involving a young lady from Russia falling for a man from the states. The time period would be about 5 to 7 years after the fall of the Soviet Union and the story would take place in one of the Russian cities. We would like to shoot for a length of 105 Min and the audience we would like to attract would be ages 18 and above.

Hope that helps and again if there is anything you suggest please let me know.

    Thx
