I went to tripadvisor.com and found cracowdays apartments. They are number one in the "other accomodation" and were great. Really reasonable and safe. Check it out on tripadvisor for yourself. I had a great time in Krakow and would recommend this place to anyone.

Thanks all for all your ideas so far all of the places look great, i was just wondering if there is any hotels that will take payment on arrival as there is a fairly large group of us and dont to be chasing them looking for the money.
    thanks

Hotel Pollera will take group bookings, secured on a credit card and paid for on arrival.

Did it for my rugby club last year with no worries.

The hotel is very central, opposite the opera house and 5 minutes stumble from Market Square. It's a bit quirky, but is a very historic building.

    We stayed in this hostel.

Location-wise it's perfect. Right on the main square and the staff were sound and it was really clean.

Voted in the top 10 hostels in the world the last few years and only 10-13 euro per night depending on the no. of beds in the dorm.
