I have often wondered why glorious magazines such as the likes of FHM release their brand new November issue in October.

    Anyone care to answer?

Holly Willoughby on this months (November) cover;)

    Same with the wimmins magazines.

Dunno why though. Always presumed it might have something to do with if you saw a magazine that had October issue on it, in October you would still buy it and not realise it was last month's. More cash for them.

Then again that could be a load of crap.

Because any events or programming listed in the magazine is for the next month not last month.

JaneyMc has it spot on. If it said 'October' and it was, say, the last week in October you'd be less likely to buy it. So November comes out in October to keep it looking new until Decemeber comes out... in November!

One of the magazines I buy is two months ahead. It baffles me...
