    1. Tony Woodcock (NZ) - What a tri nations
    2. Mario Ledesma (ARG) - Absolute standout hooker
    3. Carl Hayman (NZ) - Newcastl are poor but he's still amazing
    4. James Horwill (AUS) - Surprise input but has been savage all this year
    5. Victor Matfield (SA) - Consistently high performer
    6. Rodney So'oialo (NZ) - Who needs Jerry Collins when you have this guy
    7. Richie McCaw (NZ) - Should have been player of the year
    8. Sergio Parisse (ITA) - POTY nominee for a reason
    9. Dwayne Peel (WAL) - Du Preez just playing too poorly since he's been back
    10. Dan Carter (NZ) - Ever consistent
    11. Brian Habana (SA) - Epic in attack, epic in defense
    12. Matt Giteau (AUS) - The Aussies main attacking flair
    13. Stirling Mortlock (AUS) - if concussion could be prevented he'd be the outright best. Close between him, Jauzion and C. Smith
    14. Shane Williams (WAL) - Only man mispositioned
    15. Mils Muliaina (NZ) - Unjustly missed out on a POTY nomination
    Sadly it's Souhern Hemisphere dominated.

Leinster bias tbh. Isn't it obvious?

Your right, prejudice got the better of me. I'll make that change. I'll also take out all the Leinster players I've putting there. Thanks for putting me straight.

Kaino reverted to 8 in the last 2 tri nations match the moment Richie came back and So'oialo was restored to 6, were he had his best games of the competition.

I'd have Byron Kelleher at 9

I'd be hard push to disagree with your list homergriffin. Only one I'd change is Peel, he isn't even getting a consistant game for wales. In his place I'd probably have Kelleher/Blair.

Other way around. So'oialo played 7 while McCaw injured but moved back to 8 when McCaw back. Played number 8 last few years except where forced to 7.Collins was number 6.

Not sure therefore why he would be rated best 6. Great player but a little too short for me. Elsom would have to be close to 6 jersey.

Kaino played 6. Rod played 8.

Never will understand Kelleher - such a tempermental player. The inverse of most of ours, can do wonders at international level and yet at club level can be left severely wanting - never know quite what to make of him.

Yeah lads you're right. Got mixed up in my own thoughts there. His form was still excellent so I wouldn't drop him. His height should have no bearing on whether he's in your team or not as So'oialo is still a lineout option. Rocky is a class act but I wouldn't drop So'oialo for Rocky. I personally think So'oialo edges him in quality. Elsom can be too penalty prone but this is opinion based so I won't argue.

He won Top 14 player of the year so he must have been playing well in France to merit that title. His Heineken cup performances left much to be desired so I understand what you mean.
