now that the season is settling in, and form is begining to show, i'm gonna start my punting on football properly.....

going in with united, celtic and rangers, short odds but hopefully they'll get me off to a solid start...

It's a fair old trip for Arsenal up to Sunderland, and they stuggle against physical, well-drilled sides - particularly at set pieces. They've already dropped 6 points against bottom half opposition this season, so that could a tricky one!

Three for the prem all pretty much the way you probably shouldn't go but...

Sunderland to beat Arsenal 5/1. Someone already made a few comments i agree with to that result.

Blackburn to beat Man Utd 11/2. The last 8 times United went to Blackburn they've only won once. Mainly draws though but i'll take the chance on the win.

Villa to end Chelsea's home run 7/1. Villa are playing well, looking good for a potential 5th place finish at least. Chelsea somewat depleted. Remember, woeful Spurs went there and drew so who knows.

For the rest of England i've got Huddersfield 2/1, Southend 8/5, Port Vale 11/8 and Rochdale 11/10.

Looking forward to 0 out of 7 right...

Not a bad one... No Deco, Essien, Carvalho, Drogba. Anelka didn't train on Friday, so he could be out too.

Sunderland did well, some amount of players behind the ball throughout the match.

After my failure earlier on I did a United/Marseille/PSV triple at 3/1. Just waiting on PSV who are 2 up at the mo.

Was going to try and win my stake back but decided to leave it, thinking about putting a small amount on a Villa win tomorrow, 6-1 with PP isn't bad considering their recent form.

I've a 5er left on PP, any suggestions for the Villa/Chelsea game? I've put tuppence on a few hopeful ones: :p

    Chelsea HT / Villa FT @ 55/1
    Villa 2-0 @ 35/1
    Villa 3-0 @ 125/1

I'm backing Villa ftw by the way :D

I'd be surprised to see Chelsea get more than 1 today in the absense of so many players, and with Villa having Friedel in goal now.

Only got 1 of my 7 bets right! Not the best weekend. Had Arsenal not got that late goal i would have had 2 out of 7 and a profit but they is the breaks.
