Looking to book a table for 8 adults and 3 kids in a nice restaurant locally (not city centre and no pubs), we tried the Royal Marine Hotel in DL and the Radisson along with the National Yacht Club, but no where does a sit down lunch on Saturdays.

    Any suggestions please?

Good call Stig. Roly's is consistent and excellent value for lunch. For ethnic I like Baan Thai ( above Paddy Cullen's Pub in Ballsbridge) for lunch. Really good food.

Beaufield Mews restaurant in Stillorgan is family friendly and popular.

    Thanks for all the advice.

Beaufield Mews doesn't do lunch either.

Rolly's is lovely but it's too small, they really pack you in. :(

We ended up booking Hartley's in DL as they are consistently good and one of the few "nice" places open for lunch on a Saturday.

Had lucnh recently in the four seasons, the lobby/cafe part not the restaurant and it was fantastic. There was nobody else near us and there were colouring books and crayons for the baby. They also had a different menu for older and younger kids. Think it came to 200 for 5 adults and one baby including about 5/6 glasses of wine
