    Hi all,

I have a year old MacBook Pro with Tiger OS installed. I want to make a disk image of my Macintosh Hard Drive, then make 2 partitions of the drive, one for work and one for everything else. The thing is I don't have the start-up disks for a few of my programmes.

I was wondering that if I make a disk image and reformat the drive do I need the softwares disks to reinstall them. How do I go about it?

    Any help is appreciated,
    Peter.
