Or should that be Poxy Server!
I've done a quick trawl for an existing thread on this and couldn't find anything, so if there is one sorry folks!
I'm still running 'legacy Macs' (never liked that term) in a largely Windows environment, just recently we were given permission to share the internet connection on the network. I've input the proxy server and port settings and the newer machines (mostly notebooks) running Tiger or Leopard will connect straight away. However I can't get the older machines running Panther to connect at all. Does anyone know of any issues with 10.3 or early versions of Safari that would cause this. The Panther machines (Tangerine iMacs and Blue & White Minitowers) have Safari 1.3.2 installed.

    Many Thanks,
    Machead.

Thanks for that babypink, I've downloaded that little package. I'll give it a go on Monday when I get in to work. I'm not so sure about completely bypassing the proxy authentication though. This will be used in a school where everyone has a network account and although all internet content is managed, I don't want students accessing stuff they shouldn't, especially on the Mac system(considerable rivalry between the Mac & PC camps here!). I may restrict this to those with admin accounts, I'll see how it goes!

    Slán,
    Machead.
