n95 wifi hot spot

i am using my n95 as a wifi hotspot with joki?? i am on vodafone bill and have full 3g coverage the best speed i can get on either irishisptest or speedtest is 250k dl on the n95 it comes up with 3.5 under the signal bars so i thought i should be hspda ?? speed arond a meg or 2 anything i can do to speed it up Thanks
