Has anyone heard of a site called www.laddworld.net
It is to find out if or who has blocked you on MSN.
You enter your username and password to find out.

Sounds fishy....giving your details to a stranger.

What could the feckers do with your password details on MSN?
Exactly why are they looking for this info and what damage can they do?

Now we know why the anti virus was invented.

Exactly how does the virus get in.

Another thing.....having read some other threads, i can't believe that some pc owners only use free anti-virus gear like AVG etc. I am not knocking those programs, but surely in this day and age, you need a full setup like Nortons or McAfee.

You need to read these forums, and the malware one, a LOT closer :). For the sake of your original question and that last comment about Symantec and McAfee, both of which are overpriced and underperforming bloatware

Seriously though they are relatively pants. And never give any 3rd party service your email passwords, since the MSN login could get them into your hotmail and from there monitor for anything financial aswell as likely spamming everyone in your contact list.

My first time on this particular forum....sorry for the confusion.
What anti-virus software is the safest, if Norton and McAfee is gak??

Everyone has their favourites but the most well regarded in general tend to be Kaspersly and Nod32/ESET - If you go by reports then ESET has a slightly better Av engine/simpler interface but Kaspersky has more features/more complex interface (which I prefer).
